  • Partnership for Water Conservation
    The Partnership for Water Conservation actively engages the Puget Sound region in conservation efforts generating measurable water savings that support communities, provide long-term economic benefits and protect watersheds by helping to sustain necessary flows in rivers and streams.


  • Saving Water Partnership
    The Saving Water Partnership is a consortium of 18 water utilities implementing the 1% Water Conservation Initiative. The 1% Water Conservation Initiative is a water conservation goal to reduce personal and business water consumption 1% every year for ten years.


  • Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington
    This site includes information on Water Conservation efforts and laws in Washington State. Includes sample conservation plans and efficiency policies from different areas in the state.

  • California Climate Action Team
    Made up of representatives from various agencies to implement global warming emission reduction programs and report on the progress made toward meeting the statewide greenhouse gas targets that were established in the executive order.


  • Washington State Climatologist
    Collects, disseminates, and interprets climate data. This web site also provides links to sources of climate data and seasonal forecasts for the state of Washington. Most data on the site is available for free; a charge may apply for additional data or interpretation, or for testimony in a legal case.


  • California State Climatologist
    The California State Climatologist collects and interprets climate data for California, and disseminates climate data and information through various means.


  • Governor’s Office Water Management and Levees Blog
    This blog provides a forum for updates and discussion on Governor Schwarzenegger’s actions regarding water management issues such as floods, droughts, and levees.


  • Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
    IPCC provides those interested in climate change with a rich source of information on the issue. The IPCC does not conduct any research nor does it monitor climate related data or parameters. Its role is to assess on a comprehensive, objective, open and transparent basis the latest scientific, technical and socio-economic literature produced worldwide relevant to the understanding of the risk of human-induced climate change, its observed and projected impacts and options for adaptation and mitigation.


  • IPPC Model Output
    This unprecedented collection of recent model output is officially known as the "WCRP CMIP3 multi-model dataset". It is meant to serve IPCC's Working Group 1, which focuses on the physical climate system -- atmosphere, land surface, ocean and sea ice -- and the choice of variables archived at the PCMDI reflects this focus.

  • Washington State Division on Environmental Health: Office of Drinking Water
    Information on water regulation, planning, and conservation. There are also facts regarding water contaminants and water system assistance.


  • Washington State Division on Environmental Health: Office of Shellfish and Water Protection
    This division of the Division of Environmental Health promotes safe treatment and disposal of domestic and other non-industrial wastewater in areas of Washington not served by municipal sewerage treatment. The site provides information on plans and programs to control wastewater.
